The Journal of Libyan Academy Bani Walid (JLABW) adheres to the highest ethical standards for medical and health research. 1. Ethical Approval of Medical Research

  • Research involving human participants or personal health data must receive approval from an appropriate Research Ethics Committee before the study begins.
  • Authors must provide the name of the ethics committee and approval number or date, when available.
  • The journal may request ethical approval documentation during peer review or before publication.

2. Informed Consent

  • Informed consent must be obtained from all participants before enrollment in the study.
  • Participants must be clearly informed about:
    • Research objectives.
    • Study procedures.
    • Potential benefits and risks.
    • Their right to withdraw without consequences.

3. Participant Privacy and Data Confidentiality

Authors must:

  • Protect participants’ identities and avoid publishing identifiable information.
  • Use codes or anonymized data instead of personal identifiers.
  • Obtain explicit consent before publishing identifiable images or clinical information.
  • Comply with applicable data protection regulations.

4. Research Involving Animals

  • Studies involving animals must follow recognized ethical standards for animal care and use.
  • Appropriate institutional approval must be obtained before conducting animal research.
  • Researchers should minimize animal suffering and use appropriate welfare procedures.

5. Clinical Trials

  • Clinical trials should be registered in recognized international trial registries according to applicable standards.
  • The trial registration number should be provided in the manuscript when available.
  • Published reports should comply with ethical standards for clinical research.

6. Funding and Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose:

  • Research funding sources.

7. Patient Safety and Medical Responsibility

  • Research procedures must not expose participants to unjustified risks.
  • Research benefits should outweigh potential risks.
  • Researchers are responsible for maintaining professional and medical standards throughout the study.

8. Case Reports and Clinical Reports

For publication of medical case reports:

  • Patient consent or legal representative consent must be obtained.
  • Unnecessary identifying information must be removed.
  • The case should provide a clear scientific contribution.

9. Integrity in Medical Research Publication

The journal does not accept:

  • Fabricated or falsified medical data.
  • Suppression or manipulation of important findings.
  • Publication of unsupported scientific claims.
  • Violations of patients’ or participants’ rights.
