A stylistic study of Omar Abu Risha’s collection of poems: (Cuba Cubana, and the Return of the Soul) as a model

Abstract

This research entitled (A stylistic study in Omar Abu Risha's collection of poems: "Cuba Cubana" and "Return of the Soul" as a model) aims to reveal the stylistic aspects of the two poems under study in their various types; structural, phonetic, and semantic. It also aims to reveal the intellectual and cultural aspects and the poetic vision of the creator. Stylistics is an advanced approach that emerged from the womb of ancient rhetoric, but cultural and intellectual development was reflected in turn on literary texts, so they became loaded with new energies and horizons that go beyond stopping at the old analysis, or semiotic references to metaphysics, which led to the complexity of textual analysis and the multiplicity of approaches to it. Stylistics was one of the approaches that reveal the different aspects of the text and the emotional and influential energies of the creator, and the reflection of the self on the language.

To achieve these goals, the research adopted (the stylistic approach) to reveal the different textual aspects, the influential energies, and the reflection of the educated self on the text.

The research faced the problem of the poet's new presentation of topics that he dressed up as development, and loaded them with his own culture and intellectual vision, which made it more difficult to address the text and explore its depths to reach the hidden meaning under the apparent surface, and to show and reveal the reflection of the self on the text.

The hypothesis from which the research was launched was: What is new that Omar Abu Risha presented to poetry? What is the effect of diverse culture on the structure and structure of the text?

The research reached several results, the most important of which are: The poet diversified the structural methods; constructional and informative, to clarify his idea, and show the psychological and semantic dimensions to the recipient, as the poet excelled in transforming the phonetic level into an aesthetic value and an artistic standard that distinguished him.
