Patient satisfaction levels with the quality of health and support services in inpatient wards: A study on Al-Khums Medical Center

This study aimed to assess the level of patient satisfaction with healthcare and supportive services provided in inpatient departments at Al-Khums Medical Center, Libya. A descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, and data were collected from a sample of 93 inpatients using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale.
The results revealed a high overall satisfaction level (mean = 3.85/5), particularly regarding medical and nursing staff performance. However, food quality recorded the lowest satisfaction level (mean = 2.20), indicating a critical weakness in supportive services.
The study recommends improving supportive services, especially food quality, and enhancing the physical environment, while maintaining the high performance of medical staff.
