تهدف هذه الورقة إلى استعراض مفهوم متسلسلة فورييه ومعاملاتها وتطبيقاتها في إيجاد حل لبعض المعادلات التفاضلية الجزئية. تتناول الدراسة تحديداً تطبيقات متسلسلة فورييه في حل معادلة الحرارة المتجانسة ذات البعد الواحد لقضيب محدود، ومعادلة لابلاس ذات البعدين على مستطيل، بالإضافة إلى المعادلة التفاضلية الجزئية غير المتجانسة (معادلة بواسون).
